The VEA’s annual and very popular Instruction and Professional Development Conference will be in Richmond November 19-20 (attendees must be vaccinated and wear masks when near others). This year’s theme is Rebuilding Schools: Addressing Unfinished Learning, and will feature keynote speaker Eric Carbaugh of James Madison University, a VDOE panel discussion, and breakouts on numerous subjects, including trauma-specific practices, teacher evaluation, culturally responsive teaching, collective bargaining, and ESP professional issues.
